Appleseeds Behavioral Center: Occupational Therapy

Appleseeds Behavioral Center is a Georgia center for children with Autism that offers applied behavioral analysis, or ABA, therapy to members of the state’s Autism community.

It was founded in 2013, before the state passed Ava’s Law, and has since expanded with each passing year. The Appleseeds team recently announced that they will be offering speech and occupational therapy as part of their comprehensive services.

The Appleseeds Behavioral Center team is also planning on opening new locations throughout Georgia to make their services more accessible to a larger percentage of the ASD community. In February of 2018 alone, Appleseeds opened a location in Rome, GA and Calhoun, GA. “We are excited to announce that we will continue to open additional locations across Georgia,” they said.

Appleseeds Behavioral Center: About ABA

Appleseeds Learning Center – a center for children with autism – was founded in 2013 to make applied behavioral analysis, better known as ABA, more accessible to families in Georgia. It has since expanded to better serve the ASD, or autism spectrum disorder, community in Georgia, adding multiple locations and a more diverse team of experts.

The ABA therapy offered by Appleseeds Behavioral Center is designed as part of early intervention programs. “Research suggests that children with Autism should receive twenty-five to forty hours of intensive ABA per week,” explains their website. “While this may seem like an extraordinary amount of time for a child, this intensity of intervention has been shown to be the most effective in addressing the needs of children with Autism.”
